Why I Still Believe in Theo Epstein And Why I Hate Bandwagon Fans
It's September 5th. The season's starting to come to a close. The teams that are fighting for a playoff spot have to make one last push. Other will have to close down their stands, knowing there will be no hot dogs sold in October.
But if you look at the standings, there is one surprise. The Boston Red Sox are 10 games back from 1st place in the AL East. The Red Sox do have six games left against New York and an additional three against Tampa, so in no way are they done yet. The Red Sox are arguably the biggest come back team in sports, but this year, the odds are stacked even further against them. It's at this time of year where Red Sox fans show their true colors. This is when it becomes very clear who's a real fan and who just hopped on the bandwagon.
I believe myself to be a true Red Sox fan. And since the Red Sox aren't out of it yet, I'm still cheering for them. I believe they can go on a 20 game winning streak. I believe that their rotation can carry them to October. I know how bad the standings look right now, but I couldn't call them out.
But then there are the bandwagon fans. The fans that demand changes to be made. On the Red Sox fanpage on facebook, I ran into one of these fake fans. The man at question is named "Terrence Reardon". And he said,
"
I hate these kinds of fans. So stupid. They don't wouldn't know it if a shark bit their ass. So I gave him a piece of my mind,
And I stand by what I said. I have faith in Epstein and his crew. This team is young and is here for the long run. But Terrence the really loyal and smart fellow retaliated,
I laughed at this comment, but not for the humor. I laughed at the rigid stupidity in this man's existence. He's angry because of the people Epstein brought in. But he fails to mention the other people... such as Ellsbury, Pedroia, Papelbon, Lester, Buchholz, Victor Martinez and many more. He fails to realize that Bay has been a bust for the Mets. I hate fans like these. So ignorant. So close-minded.
If you want a good laugh, look this guy up on facebook. Message him or write on his wall and tell him that you still have faith in the Red Sox. Tell him that you're still part of the Fenway FAITHful. Tell him that people who just jump on the bandwagon can take their business elsewhere. Cause this man doesn't deserve to be a member of Red Sox Nation.

In the words of ELO "it's over, it's ououver, it's over!" for the Red Sox. Calling for firing of Teddy Boy Epstein! That dumbkuff has got to go! I still haven't gotten over Manny leaving which I think was Epstein induced nor Gonzo nor Jason Bay's departures in lieu of Suckatro, Slackey, Camoron and the deteriorations of Bucket and Crap Shooter K.

hey Terrence. Shut up. You're a terrible fan. You don't back up your players? The Sox have hit a rough patch, so sue me. Epstein got the red sox so far, and he still has that ability. He's a GM in the best division in baseball, and has created not a playoff team, but a playoff franchise. This team is here to stay. Forget one year, Epstein's in it for the long run. He's not aiming to catch up to the Yankees from the 10 games back. He's trying to catch up to the Yankees 27 world series' titles. Have some faith
And I stand by what I said. I have faith in Epstein and his crew. This team is young and is here for the long run. But Terrence the really loyal and smart fellow retaliated,
Hey Sushi Chef, I call a spade a spade. Hard to stand by a team when they lose, I am embarassed to walk around Florida with Red Sox regalia on now as I get razzed by Tampa Bay fans and into fistfights. I hate management, namely Teddy Boy Epstein (that POS quit on the Sox before). He got in players who did terrible (Gagne, Renteria, now Suckatro, CaMoron) and he forced Manny, Gonzo and Bay to quit. Epstein has got to go as well as the dinosaurs of the Sox over 33.
