Josh Hamilton Week: Day 2

For Day 1, click here

Josh Hamilton played on a 12 year old team when he was 6. He hit his first homerun when he was 7... off of a 12 year old.

"Hambone" was Josh's nickname through most of his childhood. It was also his first tattoo. It was done "in all caps around my right biceps."

One of the last tattoos he got was on his right calf of a picture of "Jesus's face superimposed over a cross. He's on the same leg with the demon and no eyes."

In the minor leagues, Hamilton hit a home run that was measured at 549 feet. The world record to date for furthest ball hit is 565 feet, set by Mickey Mantle.
